Geotechnics Director

Full time - Permanent

Lead the geotechnical services offered in the greater Montreal area and elsewhere in Quebec;
Ensure business development in the public and private sectors in order to increase revenues;
Ensure the coordination/preparation of service offers;
Prepare the annual budget of his unit and follow it rigorously during the year;
Provide technical and administrative support to geotechnical teams;
Ensure the implementation of corporate methods and procedures in ethics and compliance, Health-Safety-Environment and Quality;
Develop new expertise, methods and disciplines in geotechnics;
Advance the contribution of digital technology and modeling in analyses, calculations and design;
Define a business strategy so that geotechnics and rock mechanics become services of great added value for our customers.

Salary offered : To be discussed + performance bonus + five (5) weeks of vacation upon entering the position.

Hours/week : 37.5 hours/week

Bachelor's degree in geology, geological or civil engineering (specialization in environment and/or geotechnics);
Master's or doctorate in geotechnics an asset;
Member in good standing of the order of engineers or geologist of Quebec (an asset);
At least 15 years of professional experience in the environment, with significant experience in the context of major construction projects;
Experience in the following fields of expertise (buildings, foundations, stability analysis, roads, soil liquefaction,);
Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams;
Very good knowledge of administrative systems and project cost monitoring Sense of organization, team spirit and leadership ability;
Experience in mentoring geotechnical professionals;
Ability to communicate in French and English, both written and spoken.
